The image of the site as seen by Google maps now shows the new rectangular bit added on a couple of years ago.

Check-out the ‘Where we fly‘ page.

I don’t know why that got me excited, but it did.

There’s a white car in the car park and a few white splodges in the pits.  If those splodges are you, let us know.

The field has been ploughed again making access to the parking and the strip difficult.  If you have a suitable vehicle and are certain you won’t get stuck, please run it up and down a couple of times to flatten things out.

Please only do the minimum to make it accessible for other members –  we don’t want to abuse Bev’s good nature by destroying any more of her crop than necessary.

The good news is that we’re getting this website sorted out.

It’s something we’ve needed for a while, so it’s gratifying that we now have someone willing and able to create and maintain it – thanks, Dave.

Another step towards the twenty first century is the switch to digital membership cards rather than the cardboard ones of the past that many members lost during the year.  They were designed to be held on to and updated every year, but in reality, we tended to issue new ones to most people every year.  This came with a cost for both printing and stamps.

The new ‘cards’ are PDF files emailed out to the members who can either save them, print them, copy them into their Google wallet, or simply ignore them.
